STEP INTO THE STORY BEHIND THE SAFE.

A Presentation of History. Preserved for Generations.

Manufactured by Diebold and originally sold to the city of Lancaster, Texas, this historic safe survived the devastating F4 tornado that tore through downtown Lancaster on April 25, 1994, destroying the city’s traditional courthouse. Rolland was commissioned to recover and open the safe to retrieve the valuables secured inside. Preserved for its historical significance, the safe was later restored and remains a lasting symbol of resilience, recovery, and craftsmanship.

Rolland's Historical Safe Collection located in Dallas, Texas, represents more than a century of security, craftsmanship, and preservation. From antique safes dating back to the 1800s to modern high-security innovations, each piece tells a story of how protection has evolved—while the mission has remained the same.

Founded in 1905, in New Orleans, Rolland has been protecting businesses, families, and institutions for over 120 years. Now in its fourth generation of leadership, the company continues to blend time-tested expertise with modern security solutions—honoring the past while securing the future.
